This is because with a notebook computer, they can work whenever and wherever they want ,like while commuting on the train, while having some snacks in a coffee shop, or while waiting for one's flight.

The good thing is that, it is no longer impossible to find laptops under &#163 300.

If you are resourceful and tenacious enough in doing your research, you can even find laptops under &#163 200. Interested in getting laptops under &#163 200 or &#163 300? Read on.

Purchase older laptops

There are many notebook makers and distributors that offer older systems up for sale. With the fast turnover of technologies that go into portable computing devices, it is possible to find laptops under &#163 300 that are just around 2 years old. Many of the newer notebooks that are in the market today are equipped with multi-core processors.

If the reason why you're buying a laptop is simply for basic typing, replying to emails, or surfing the Internet, a much older model with dual or single core CPU can already do these tasks comfortably.

Buy used or refurbished

Used notebook computers can be bought for 20% to 50% of the price it was initially sold for. Be careful when buying from private sellers though as used laptops tend to be sold as is, meaning, no warranties or money-back guaranties.

This is why buying refurbished laptops is often recommended because many of them, especially those sold by the manufacturer or official distributor, offer the same warranty and return policy as those bought brand new.

There are also refurbished units that have never been used and these are usually overstock items that retailers return to the distributor to make room for new models, or units that were shipped to the customer but were returned without being used.

Take advantage of sales and discounts There are plenty of vendors online or offline that accept discount vouchers and codes that slash dollars off of your purchase. Many online and offline computer shops also offer notebooks at marked down prices at various times of the year. Knowing when and where these clearance sales are can help you get that laptop you want for much less.

Buy a netbook

While not as powerful as notebook computers, lightweight and low-cost netbooks can already accommodate basic computing tasks. They are also ideal for those who want to travel light.
