With Microsoft's Consumer Preview for Windows 8 released, we're fairly certain a few of you are tinkering around on it. If you're thinking about whether you'd get to try out Windows 8 for PC's (http://www.tabletpccomparison.co/windows-8-tablets-checklist%20?) beta also , then the answer is no, not currently. The preview is made for x86/64 Computers and doesn't come in an ARM version as there aren.t any ARM-based Windows 8 new tablets. Or as Microsoft calls them, Windows on ARM (WOA) in the market yet. While we could have to wait a few more months for WOA devices, tablet PC comparison sites note some of the things we'd probably see in Windows 8 for personal tablets. Will they be worth the wait though?
The Probabilities and Rumination
For some tablet Personal computer reports sites, the probable answer is yes. Windows 8 for personal tablets looks promising, considering that early reviews for the preview are generally positive (apart from the many kinks and dinks here and there). Many note that Windows 8 is more than just good looks and expect when the mobile version of the O. S will inspire with features that aren't just skin deep. Apart from the much chatted about Metro control panel, Windows 8 for tablets are expected to have some familiar desktop apps too , including Office and Explorer.
Tablet PC reviews sites ruminate that the new OS will be better suited for convertible or composite tablets, since the OS is pretty similar respondent with touch input as it is with mouse and keyboard inputs. What sort of WOA new tablet we'll see in the next few months yet remain a matter of conjecture though. According to reports, Samsung, Dell, HP, and Asus are making plans to release Windows 8 tablets. Nokia is said to be planning their own WOA device as well.
Other features
Windows 8 for tablets will incorporate the Refresh and Reset function, two functions designed to be much easier alternative choices to reinstalling the OS. Refresh lets users go back to default Windows settings and remove all programmes and programs installed while keeping your private settings and files untouched. The Reset feature, from a different perspective, dumps files and reinstalls Windows. Other reported features include beaming (sending files across Windows 8 devices), multitasking, and SkyDrive.
All in all, Windows 8 for personal tablets have a lot of things to tempt you with. We'll see in the following few months, once WOA personal tablets are available, if it lives up to the hype.
